This dorm was definitely much nicer than any other freshman dorms on campus. Having a bathroom was awesome and the size of the room was also a huge plus. However, with that comes the lack of a social environment. I would definitely have traded for a smaller shittier dorm if it meant meeting more people.

awesome room size. the walk is kind of long but you get used to it and it wont matter that much because everyone moves to laird sophomore year anyway so you might as well get used to it.

A great dorm for freshman year. You get your own bathroom, air conditioning, and big rooms.

George Read North was a great dorm. I was very privileged to live there as it was the nicest freshman dorm on campus. Student athletes lived there as an added bonus for coming to UD!! All of the rooms were set up suite style so I never had to deal with community bathrooms. The dorms were very clean and well maintained. GRN is located on North Campus, so it's about a 15 minute walk to Central Campus. However, North campus is brand new and very nice to live on.

George Read had the biggest and nicest dorm rooms on campus for freshman. It was set up as a suite so that there were 2 rooms connected by one bathroom. It was great having a bathroom that was shared between us 4 girls and not by the whole floor. I loved living there!

Relatively new dormitory. Washers and dryers available in basement. Lots of study areas with big desks. Bathrooms shared between two rooms. Walls paper thin.
