Has a great dining hall, great location right by downtown Evanston and all the south campus classes, good sense of community if you try for it, suite-style living is nice

It's a really great place to live if you're uninterested in the community that comes with living North campus. Hinman is not very social, and the kids that DO socialize are quite strange. However, it is a great escape from the North Campus madness and has a dining hall open 7 days a week.

I like 1835 Hinman's atmosphere (half of us go out and half of us don't). I love our dining hall. The kitchens here are small. My room is one of the bigger ones here. The cleaning lady mops the toilets, but I hear that happens at many dorms. I don't really know anything about parking. I like being close to Evanston.
