Smith is a party Hall. The Guys are hot, they're all incoming freshman who are seeking to build-up and hoping to get in a Frat. There's always noise around in the Hall. It's a good Hall for Freshman who are wanting to meet other people, most of them whom are party animals (if those are the kind of friends you are looking for). The Bathrooms are NOT always clean, beings that Smith is a party Hall a late night shower is not adviced. People come in drunk (after partying every night of the week) and vomit all over the toilets and sink. There's also been times where you find out someone pooped in the shower. Girls bathroom can be gross as well; some leave pads and tampons exposed, overflowing the garbage. The girls showers sometimes clog because of the excess amount of hair that girls shed. In the guys bathroom it was stated to not masturbate in the shower because some of the drains have clogged. The rooms' walls sweat and the pipe system for the ceeling's sprinklers are exposed. The pipes are very fragile and goes off at least once a year in smith, flooding the entire floor with brown/dirty water. The elevators are also very old. They are always out of order and people get stuck in it all the time. There's also no button for the 10th floor, you would have to take the elevator to the 9th floor then take the stairs to the 10th. Smith Hall is not the place to study, if you are someone who is thinking of getting involved in campus and not having to worry about anything but extracurricular activities, class, internships, or a job do not come to Smith Hall. It consumes a lot of time having to deal with so many problems that the Hall is always experiencing due to the 770 people that reside in here and the poor living conditions that the Hall is in. The arquitecture of the building hasnt changed since it was built in 1960 when Men were integrated into the Florida State University. Spend your money somewhere else.

Smith Hall is a great dorm for first-year students. It's a great way to make connections that will last. The people living there are always very friendly and willing to meet new people. Smith has a reputation for having crazy students in the good way, you can always find a party to go to. There is always something to do! If you're always studying and need peace and quiet this can be a bad thing. True the rooms are very small but you can make the best of it. The bathrooms are down the hall but newly renovated and always clean, there's a sink in your room which is a plus. There's never a problem with waiting for a shower or toilet, especially on the guys floors. The building is conveniently located near alomost all freshman classrooms too, unless you are an artsy person. Also every room has its own air conditioner so you can control the temp unlike other dorms. I am happy I lived in Smith and I had a great year, but I going back isn't really something I am interested in.

Smith is not the best dorm on campus, but it is also not the worst. Rooming with a friend is probably advised since the rooms themselves are quite small. The bathrooms were recently renovated and therefore are clean. The staff does a great job keeping it clean, restocking the toilet paper, and taking out the trash. Overall it wasn't that bad.

The room is small and if you or your roomate are messy the clutter can make it even worse as to having room. The bathrooms are down the hall ad shared by your wing in the building. They are newly renovated so not bad in the clean and working conditions. There are a lot of socials. The room can get dirty fast because of it's size and the air conditioning can cause dust to be a problem.

Its a freshman dorm so expectations aren't that high. The rooms are small and the wall can sweat. They are also usually very humid, and you have community bathrooms but you will survive. The people are all great and it tends to be very sociable. The location is good and it has a great parking area. Each room individually has control of their heating/air which I loved! They have good parties for all of the residents and you never have to clean a bathroom yet they get cleaned everyday.

This is my second year living in Smith hall specifically because of the location. It is close to The Leach, Fresh Foods, surrounded by parking lots, and across the street from The Psychology Building, which is where I take most of my classes.

Smith Hall is a community style dorm. Just about 1 bathroom/shower for every 10 people. Rooms are TINY!

You get what you pay for. It's the cheapest dorm on campus for a reason but you're bound to meet a lot of cool people.

The dorm rooms in Smith hall are super small. However, you can adjust the temperature in your room which is nice since other dorms have a central heating/cooling system and you deal with whatever temperature they set it to. Smith hall is a great dorm for first year freshmen. You're guaranteed to meet people since no one ever wants to be in their rooms. Bathrooms depend on the other people on your floor but they are community style. Its not the worse though. It was an experience that I wouldn't want to repeat but have no regrets of ever having.

Smith Dorm was my last resort, I lived the college dorm experience and I wish it wouldn't have been in this dorm. I met my roommate who is my apartment roommate and that was the only good thing about living in smith. Also, parking was horrible! I couldn't go anywhere without worrying about if I would get parking when I got home. It sucked.

The rooms were entirely too small...it was literally a box!!!!!!! It was within a good distance of all my classes. Had some good times there but I won't be moving back there anytime soon. Though I recommend Smith for all incoming freshmen and those looking to save money.

Smith Hall is definitely not a new dorm, but the residents make up for it. You will definitely make some good friends here, and will rarely be bored. The place typifies the stereotypical college dorm environment.
