A great start to my freshman year. Ton of friends whom i still keep in contact. Always a party, or somewhere to hang out. Very social.

Great for meeting people but I was a resident in the summer when a lot of dinning halls and dorms in that area were closed.

Nice layout, liked common room. Bedrooms too small and too dirty though.

Salley hall is quite old, but overall, it is far from the worst dorm possible at Florida State. Having a separate study room really comes in handy, and the bathrooms are pretty decent in size. Salley was a very social place in nature, with or without the RAs. While the rooms are old and SMALL, with lots of humidity and some mold, yes mold, I really enjoyed my year. Everything was really close for me, too. You have fresh foods, the psych, biology, and education buildings right there, and everything else is super close too for the most part. While it's not the best dorm, it beats the other ones on the west side of campus.

Overall, when I lived here, the dorm was decent. I lucked out with having 3 great roommates, which makes all the difference in older dorms like Salley Hall. Each room is set up like a mini apartment (minus the kitchen), with a common area (which is where the desks/study space is), a bathroom, and two bedrooms (2 students in each room). The inside of the dorm could use some remodeling to make it more updated, but I had a good experience here, again, this might be because I got along with all of my roommates.

Although Salley Hall is not one of the newest or most luxurious dorms, I loved the social aspect of it and if I had to do it all again I'd choose to live there over any other dorm.

Salley is a very small dorm, and you have to be prepared to share your space with 3 other people, but other than that it is not bad at all. No health issues or anything, maintenance and cleanliness are stellar.

Though Salley Hall isn't one of the more glamorous on campus, it actually did make my Freshman year one that I will always remember as being filled with awesome people and great times.
